Okay Okay Okay!!!!
So, after getting my butt chewed by SEVERAL family members at my Christmas party tonight, I am finally updating the blog. Nothing too exciting to update, unless you count the day after day repetition of the same-ole-same-ole, but at least my name won't be at the bottom of your "friends" list.
Unfortunately, I have no pics to post- here's the short version of the sad story. My hard drive toasted itself. (Those were the computer-geek's layman terms.) Some of my pics could be saved. Some could not. And by this, he meant the pics I took BEFORE 1982 were saved, the ones I took AFTER are gone, gone, gone. He tried everything he knew, and no luck. I gave it to another "computer geek" who also said the same- actually this is how he put it... "Well first of all, you know I really care about you, right? I am sorry, but... " Yep- gone, gone, gone. However, the good news is that we could send it off to a data recovery lab who charges $80 to recieve it from you and then they will kindly give you a quote of how much to ATTEMPT to recover your data. Could be $400 could be $2000. Soooo.... although we took some of the cutest pics for our family christmas card this year there will be no card, and no pics to post at the moment. Lesson-- BACK UP YOUR PICTURES!!! But- as I rebuild my file I will be better at posting. At least all the pics in my blog are saved, eh?
Well we've all been busy getting ready for Christmas- I can't believe it's here already! Didn't we just barely say "Holy Cow it's THANKSGIVING already!!!" The kids have all been busy doin' their own things- Marki is 14 now and is dancing her life away. Bailey is 12 and is wrestling with the best of the best. Caesy is 9 and also is obsessed with dancing and cheer, and is thrilled to have a break from school. I'm not sure, though, that we can survive a single day without her BFF Dacia. Kami is 8, she's clogging again this year, and has found a new love- art. She spends hours drawing. She's getting really good and will take after her dad. Hadlee is 6 and is trying her hand at cheer. She's also crazy about her BFF Sid, and spends many many hours with her. As for me and Jason- same-ole-same-ole. I'm still working my same job, in my same chair, at my same computer. Jason's still doing a little mud, when the weather permits, and has had the chance to sharpen his coyote hunting skills with the economy being as slow as it is. We've found a few new favorite spots to call and have had a little luck here and there. It's fun now that it's finally snowed to go out and look in the snow for tracks. I think it's cool to follow the tracks, and I am getting pretty good at checkin the track and being able to identify the animal who left them. We're in hot pursuit of a couple of bobcats, and hopefully I'll be able to fill a couple of my tags for them this year. (Yes, mom, I am still your daughter....)
I promise to be better at keeping updated. It was funny to go to the Christmas party tonight with so many cousins I haven't seen since the party last year and still feel like I knew what they all were up to. I could even name all the little kids. And, believe me, there were a few. So- there's a small update for ya- Amy, Camille, Aunt Josie, and Anne...
This one's for YOU!

My first Trap Shoot! 3rd PLACE- YEAH!!!!
So- here's my new favorite pass time! Trap shooting! Jason and I have started shooting about once a week. Sometimes more if I can talk him into it.

I never thought in a million years that this would be something that I enjoy, but I LOVE IT! I love shooting my gun, and although I love hunting with my husband I have to say it beats the heck out of it. No hiking your butt off, no waiting all day long in the freezing cold, no waking up at 4am, all to shoot once or twice and come home with nothing. We go for a couple hours, shoot up to a hundred or so shells, and break a bunch of clay pigeons. I sucked really bad at first, but am almost able to out-shoot my husband. He used to think he was safe if he "ran to the right" cause I couldn't hit anything that flew to the right. Now, he's sweating it. In fact, last time we shot together he only broke one more that I did. GAME ON!!!!
This is the rest of the group we shoot with- they play all sorts of games and have all kinds of contests. My most recent trap adventure was the PMS Women's shoot. It was my first REAL Trap Shoot. There were about 25 or 30 women shooting in 3 different divisions. I shot in the Beginner, and although I shot like crap, worse than I had for a while, I still managed to come in 3rd in my division. I won a diamond ring, some Browning stuff, ect.... It POURED AND POURED on us! It was hard to shoot in the pouring rain- wet gun, wet cheek, wet trigger, wet feet, everything was drenched! (Thus, the cute attire we have on.)
All the guns- .
Me on the left, Heather on the right- cute hats, we know.

Me and Heather- just wishing these trophies
were ours. (We were going to trick our hubbies.) I've GOT to get me a PINK VEST!

Yep- I'm stylin'!
It really was fun even though it was a little like shooting in a swimming pool. The trap club promised us next year to do it earlier in the year so it's not such terrible weather.
Oh, and thanks babe for my new gun!!! (Winchester sX3- fastest gun in the west...) love you!

Staples
Here's a few of the "STAPLES" of my life:
You know, a few of the random things that you just can't imagine life without.....
I stop here at LEAST 3 times a day, sometimes more!
Post-It Notes! This is what my office looks like! Girls....back me up here.... RIGHT??? But, we've tried to get all organized, and it always reverts back to the "sticky-note" system.
Cell Phone..... if I have it I wish I could chuck it out the window.
If I happen to lose it, even a moment seems like an eternity!
Sunglasses: Go through them
like toilet paper, but ya gotta have 'em.
Dishwasher: Again, self explanatory.
This thing runs 3 or 4 times a day at my house!

My hubby learned very early in our relationship- if you forget the dramamine, you should RUN DIRECTLY TO THE STORE AND GET SOME! Do NOT take me hours from civilization, camping on some reMoTe iSlaNd (ok, so lake Mead's not really a remote island), in 120 degree heat in a non-airconditioned TENT, riding around on a BOAT ALL DAY LONG without this fine, fine, example of MODERN MIRACLE MEDICINE!
And, lastly, EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND!
I watch this show once while cooking dinner, and twice before bed, each and every day. (How can one survive this crazy world we live in without the support of the Barone family and their fine example of how to deal. Admit it, we are all like them in more ways than one.)

What we've been up to... PART 2: BIRTHDAY PARTY!
Along with all the boating we've done the last month or two we also got to celebrate Caesy's 9th BIRTHDAY! I can't believe she is that old! Time really does fly!
She chose to have a "spa" party with a few of her friends. Erin came as our "host" and she painted nails, did facials, and pedicures. The girls were in heaven! They read teeny-bopper magazines, talked about the Jonas Bros, and about what they would wear their hair like on the first day of school.
