First "official" sand dune trip this season! Last Saturday Jason took me to St. Anthony to the sand dunes. His sis Ada and her hubby Tyler came along. It's hard to pass up a "dunin' trip"! We went up a few weeks ago, but they hadn't opened it up officially yet, due to a herd of deer that the BLM was protecting/feeding. But, we unloaded and headed through the gate anyway. (We didn't see any deer.) But this last Saturday it was opened, and in full swing of the season! The weather was perfect!

"Devil's Bowl" Those two tiny spots are Jason and Tyler heading to the top. Jason missed a gear on my bike and got stuck half way up! That's a scary place to be! He got her turned around and pointed back down hill. Way to go babe! :)

WHOOOOOPSIE!!!!!!! Ada and I came around the corner just in time to see Tyler chasing his tire down the dune. It just "popped off!"
Jason "souped" up my bike for me, with the help of my favorite bike mechanic TONY. They put a new top end in, and put a pipe on it. I am not sure I can handle the power! My neck has whiplash!!!! Now, it's not my bike that keeps me at the bottom of the hill.... it's my BRAVERY! (Don't worry, MOM!) And, for mothers day the next day, I got a big surprise... new FENDERS! They are shiny silver! Thanks babe! I love ya!

Scary! I am such a chicken about these things. My uncle was up there this past weekend too. Apparently he went off a 30 ft. drop off and his 4-wheeler landed on top of him, but I think he is fine for the most part.
In a million years I never would have guessed you to be biken racen up the doons! wow. go you! It looks like a lot of fun! live it up girl! ( I bet your mom is freak'n!)
