It's that time of year again, when there's not much working and mostly playing. (Awww, who am I kidding? We play ALL of the time.) We headed for Burley this last weekend to the boat races. Although most of the gang are vets, it was only our second year. But, there will be many more to come. What a fun tradition!

Gomer, cheering on P-21! Last year was his birthday and the driver let him sit in the boat. The racing team even remembered him and named him on the web-site saying they were coming to see him this year at the races! They told him that next year they would let him go for a ride in the boat! YEAH!!!!!
We all paid extra money for the "pit passes" to get to walk through and see all the boats, but we all wore sandals and flip-flops and they wouldn't allow open toes shoes! Gomer was set on getting in, so he duck-taped his toes. It worked. They let him in. Only Gomer!
The famous "smoked turkey leg!" They aren't really that good, but everyone has to try one every year! I think we keep hoping they will get better.
Too Hot! Jamie and Collette sneak a swim in between races. They dove in, but when they came up they informed us it was only about 4' deep. Ouch!!!
"Homer" Homer now knows that the little "beverage holder" in the porta-potty is really the Urinal! YUCK!!!!! He wondered why they didn't make it level so your drink didn't keep spilling! Oh, Homer.
